FORT WAYNE, Ind. --When the gray 2010 Chevrolet Aveo pulled up and the woman in the passenger seat asked if “J---” and “B--ty” were home, the little kid on the porch didn’t think much of it.
He nodded 'yes' thinking the lady was a friend. That was until she pulled out a gun and started shooting up the house, according to a probable cause affidavit submitted by Detective R. Warstler of the Fort Wayne Police Department.

Jordanae Fields, 22, identified through eyewitness accounts and a photo array, was charged with Level 3 aggravated battery and Level 5 criminal recklessness for the shooting that occurred Aug. 28 around 7:30 p.m.
The house in the 4400 block of Standish Drive had multiple bullet holes on the facade and a woman inside the home was wounded near the back of her neck, court documents said.
The injured woman was transported to Lutheran Hospital where she was found in non-life threatening condition. However, she had lost feeling and movement below the neck.
None of the children inside the home were injured.
The victim told police there’d been an argument with a woman she didn’t know who returned to her home and started shooting.
Detectives developed leads that led to locating the suspect vehicle in a parking lot. Two detectives noticed a spent shell casing inside the car on the floor board of the rear driver’s side seat, court documents said. The vehicle was towed and held for a search warrant.
Fields has a court hearing Sept. 15. She continues to be held the Allen County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail.
