The probable cause affidavit submitted by Officer S. Schmieman said a search of the basement "yielded five handguns and three long guns," with "several cans of different caliber ammunition." Although there weren't bags of meth and cocaine there, meth was found on a large white digital scale, the type of scale used by those dealing in drugs, not using.
Police found .3 grams of cocaine in a black purse in the basement and the clear plastic bag containing the psilocybin mushrooms weighing nearly 400 grams when a personal dose equates to 1.0 to 2.5 grams, court documents said. street value for the mushrooms was estimated begtween $1,100 and $1,400.
On top of the refrigerator in the kitchen, detectives found a glass mason jar containing 27.1 grams of marijuana.
The home in the 1200 block of Kenwood on the city's north side should have had a back door. One wonders if any evidence or individual went that route on Sept. 8.
Hire's next court hearing is scheduled for Friday.
