ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. ---Roger Swedzinski was killed in his home on Hathaway Road sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning.
The 67-year-old corporate executive died of multiple gunshot wounds, the Allen County Coroner said, and ruled his death a homicide.

Folks in the 46845 zip code where new luxury homes abut farmland are jittery, wondering if the shooting death was random or personal.
It looks as though it was the latter.

"If it is any relief, there is no indication that the incident there, will lead to any others," Sgt. Kenneth Litzenberg, public information officer for the Allen County Sheriff's Department, wrote Thursday in an email response.
Sheriff Troy Hershberger concurred.
County detectives are working the case "hard," Hershberger noted Thursday afternoon.
Litzenberg said he hoped to have more information soon.
Swedzinski was a widower twice, according to an online obituary that appeared Thursday. He and his second wife of 36 years, Stacey, shared duties as church service leaders at Headwaters Church (formerly Wallen Baptist Church) for 11 years before her death last year.
His greatest treasures, it said, were his grandchildren.
"He cherished every moment spent with them. In addition to his devotion to family and faith, Roger was an avid outdoorsman, where you’d find him hunting, fishing, and tending to his large garden."
Swedzinski lived on 17 acres of woods and farmland in the 700 block of Hathaway Road. Tuesday, the long tree-lined drive to his home was barricaded by sawhorses.
Services are planned for him at Headwaters Church.
